Really scraping the bottom of the slasher barrel now, Chain Letter comes along and is all like “So what if a kid gets a chain letter, passes it on to his mates without thinking, but then when one of the breaks the chain. They get killed, gruesomely and inventively, using a chain, by a big guy, who has chain tattoos, and we can call that character ‘Chain’” So I guess one team went of and thought of interesting ways to die by a chain, another group to link all the deaths together, and some fuck-nut that ties it all up being an anti-technology cult. This anti-technology cult that is more clued up on this shit than Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Mark Juckerberg and Justin Timberlake put together. They can hack into your mobile phone and use the camera on the back to record your every move. It was incredible. Anyway out on Monday, hope you like it.
Some kids unlock some sort of demon via a Ouija board, which gives one kid the power to see when the demon is striking, so he stumbles around a lot in his funky PJ’s and tries to save the day.
It’s one of those which is quite funny to watch, y’know with all the acting and some of the dialogue and mainly just for the haircuts and fashion sense. Oh and the effects are out of this world! Don’t Panic or (Beyond Terror) as it likes to call itself for re-branding purposes is available to buy at all good online retailers.
When I were a wee lad I noticed the family had this on VHS. When I picked it out one day someone had recorded over it for an episode of You’ve Been Framed. The massacre has always made me wonder untill I saw it on a 10 Disk Box Set Which has some classy looking movies on which I will no doubt be reviewing in the following months.
Have I said anything about the film yet? Oh, erm, watch the video, it basically has it all on there.
Not interested in the whole boxset but would prefer the film on it’s own? Massacre at Central High Is still out there to buy!
Awesome 70′s movie about a group of college kids trying to catch themselves a Bigfoot. But Bigfoot catches them!
The deaths come thick and fast with extra ones added in as they tell each other stories of other peoples fates at the hands of the Bigfoot.
I would like to say it’s well worth the £3.80 or whatever, and is available to buy from here but it doesn’t seem to show me a price or whatever.
Anyway, if you ever see it in a DVD exchange or something yeah, get it for a pound and enjoy the hilarity as it ensues.
Party-goers killed by repressed loser man as one remainder fights to try and escape. It’s the movie event of the century!
Yeah, so the premise may not actually be original, but the story has some neat additions to the tired old genre. It’s out on Monday and you can buy it from places such as Amazon (Blood Cabin).
This film rounds up all of Mondays new releases. And this is probably by far the best.
Tune in on Monday where I’m going back to do some 70′s “Classics”.
The first film The Lost Skeleton of Cadavra
was awesome, this, I wasn’t expecting to be as brilliant, but it is very different, the style of comedy is different and it does feel a much bigger film.
There are some drawbacks but plenty more of the good stuff to tip the balance back into it’s favour.
It’s out on Monday, but why not give it a go now. By clicking here
Remember to swing by tomorrow for one more video for the week Blood Cabin
So I watched this film with not much hope, I thought it would have been done quick and cheaply, with easy jokes being thrown about.
So I was pleasently suprised by the first 10 minutes, and I kept laughing throughout the rest of it.
Granted I wouldn’t have known if there was any in-jokes regarding Lovecraft, because I’m a cad who doesn’t read much. But the dialogue was spot on so I felt I didn’t have to and I feel I now know loads about Lovecraft and I can challenge everyone and beat them and and and… well no but I do have more of an understanding.
So I give this a thumbs up so out of the two films I’ve reviewed so far this week for Mondays release date this is number one… out of two. More reviews tomorrow and Saturday so come back and see what’s a cracking. The Last Lovecraft is available to buy from here. and I get like $0.02 from every purchase! Whoo! Go Chad!
Welcome to my first on-the-spot audio review, of certain screenings and shows I go to. Just now I went to see The Silent House here’s what I said.
It was a bit like watching an on location theatre production, and the girl in it puts a vest on but the strap was twisted and I wanted to reach out and fix it for her but I would have just hit the screen and annoyed everyone.
It’s out in cinemas from the 8th April, but for some more closer to release date movie reviews tune in tomorrow for a short musing about The Last Lovecraft
Nosh nosh nosh, all night long that’s what vampires do, and they can run and jump and do tricks and shit.
Loads of kids kinda get kidnapped and then fed to vampires who are practicing hunting. Not that you see many deaths just splatterings of blood and a nauseating shaky cam.
Kinda predictable, slightly cliched, but if you’re into vampires and want to add another one to your collection, Prowl is out on DVD and Blu-Ray from Monday.
And finally to finish the week off on Saturday I’m going to be reviewing Blood Cabin Which seems to be a straight up rehash of Friday The 13th but what makes all these imitations watchable are the different ways people die, or the stupid situations people get themselves in, ah who am I kidding? It’s the boobs we watch it for so let’s see how many we get bouncing around here.
So that’s my review on Saturday and the movie is released on Monday. I’m off to a screening of a film called Silent House now, so I’ll let you know how that plays out. Enjoy the rest of the shows this week.
I do this show for the love of it. Therefore I don\'t get paid. Therefore I have cheap and nasty equipment.
I obviously need some new gear to make it a better show. Somethings I think of; better camera, sound recording equipment, a course in actually doing stuff... I could probably go on all day, but you get the picture.
All donations are great, and I thank you in advance and all that.
