Don’t be deterred by the screenshot, I’m not in it that much, but that’s what YouTube suggested.
Another good entry from the After Dark Originals team, which kind of keeps you guessing until the end, not so much as a whodunnit but more of a “did it happen”, “didn’t it happen” sort of affair, was there really a possession, was the place haunted, was it all in the fragile young girls mind? I wont spoil it for you, but it’s a tidy old boobs and blood horror film. Fertile Ground is out today so why not go and pick up a copy.
Some sort of Edgar Allan Poe reworking, as the students go missing at this all girls school for delinquents, a teacher signs on to work there, and discovers everything that’s going on for us.
There’s a bizarre love story angle, which came rather suddenly and I don’t really get it, plus some of the weird shit that happens, is kinda like “yousawwhatnow?” and at first I thought it was the teacher’s imagination then other people saw the manifestations, but I guess it’s standard Poefare is it not? I wouldn’t know I don’t read much. Buried Alive is an oldie so you might not be able to get it in much places anymore.
Don’t scientists watch films? Don’t they know by now that trying to bring the dead back to life always ends nastily? Obviously not, as they’re at it again, this time with a bonus religious element that Jesus was a genetic freak and it’s taken 2000+ years to get the same effect again with an Irish bare knuckle fighter.
It drags for ages and when the killings begin, they’re either really quick, or unseen, but I suppose it’s more about the story…
Out today The Frankenstein Experiment is available at all good things that sell stuff.
On the hunt for the Jersey Devil has never been so boring. Until now! 13th Child (only 9p from Amazon by the way) is painfully dull and slow, when it starts to build up to an attack, of a monster someone hobbled together in their garage, it cuts off before the death scene.
There is so much talking it hurts your ears. Plus, when you have a monster film, your don’t want to hear people talk about myths and legends about what the creature could be we just want to see limbs torn up and shit.
Anyway happy Friday 13th
Larry Blamire’s third outing into the world of spoofs, this time focusing on the old murder mystery types from the 30′s/40′s that used to pass for horror, but this time hamming it up no end.
Lot’s of familiar faces and the jokes you all expect by now after seeing the Lost Skeleton series.
Out today, Dark and Stormy Night is a non-offensive bit of fun.
Japanese supernatural horror 101. Girl, long black hair, freaky unexplainable shit happens, explained away by it being a dead girls vengeance.
They’re all the same so you just watch it for any stunning visuals that may come your way. But there ain’t a lot to do with hair, after you’ve had it come out of every orifice, yes, every orifice, or have it strangle you or tie you up or whatever, it all becomes somewhat. Boring. And you have to read all the way through it. What the fuck is this? A BOOK?
But if you’re into all that kind a shizzle then get it, EXTE is getting on a bit in years now so is pretty cheap at the old amazon.
So when I read “Sorority girls move into house over ancient Indian burial ground”, I was thinking, “Woohoo, ‘sorority girls’ they is going to get themselves naked! And get up to all sorts of crazy shit”. But the truth is they don’t (one friend who visits does get them out, but then we never see her again), one of them is fit, one of them is racist, one of them is the stereotypical token black girl and then there’s another girl, who is like the main girl, but it just seems, she’s just there.
And ancient Indian shaman’s rise from the dead and kill people for no other reason than they’re there, and there’s a wise cracking man with a whip, and two characters, a reporter and this lad who tell the audience everything they need to know and hint at some sort of relationship and then we never see them again. Not that I’m bothered, it’s just that, argh I’m rambling again. just watch the review and let me know what you think.
If you fancy buying it. Dark Power is like available at amazon or what not.
Family go to the cOuntRY for a vacation, but little did they know the town was inhabited by goblins (at no point is the word “troll” mentioned in the entire film called “Troll 2″), so anyway there’s green goo, people being turned into plants, and some other shit that I can’t cope with. I would like to say hilarity ensues but it’s not intentional. and the movie industry churns on.
YOU WANNA BUY IT? Troll 2 is available here. Probably other places, but it’ll be nice from here because I get a few cents and boy do I need them!
Anyway I’m going to wake in the morning and be all like, “Dude you were so drunk lastnight, but whait why are your speekshing to somebodies who’s looks like yourbody.”
L.A. film students need to raise funds for their college course, because apparently this college in L.A. hates movies. So they decide on an all night horrorfest in an unused cinema but including shit like electric shock chairs, flying mosquito’s and some smelly crap.
Deaths are mostly off screen and a lot of reggae plays throughout.
It’s an old one but if you want it, why not get it here
Have an enjoyable Easter, eating meat and all that.
Long time fan of the show Guy Birtwhistle sent me a copy of his latest work, to get my musings on, and even though he told me himself that it isn’t horror, I thought “what the hell” and did a mini review for him anyway.
It’s a nice little piece and I do look forward to seeing more from him in the future.
I do this show for the love of it. Therefore I don\'t get paid. Therefore I have cheap and nasty equipment.
I obviously need some new gear to make it a better show. Somethings I think of; better camera, sound recording equipment, a course in actually doing stuff... I could probably go on all day, but you get the picture.
All donations are great, and I thank you in advance and all that.
